Citadines Aparthotel, Trafalgar –

Located in a verdant street just 2 minutes from Trafalgar Square and its looming Nelson’s Column is Citadines Aparthotel. Housed in a 1930s building which it shares with the Royal Commonwealth Society, location is key to this 3-star hotel, as it is a stone’s throw from the West End theatre district, a host of art galleries and numerous bars and restaurants.

Guestrooms at the hotel include full-equipped kitchens which include dishwashers and coffeemakers. Rooms are large and airy, fitted out with air conditioning and blonde wood furniture. Other amenities include satellite TVs, CD players and complimentary dial-up internet connections, and rooms are very cheap for its location. There is a breakfast options available at the hotel, but guests may wish to shop in the Tesco’s nearby and cook in the apartment’s kitchen, if on a budget.

Park Plaza County Hall –

Situated overlooking the River Thames and next to the County Hall, the Park Plaza County Hall Hotel is a 4-star affair located on the South Bank, just minutes away from the National Theatre. The hotel’s amenities include a fitness centre with a sauna and steam room, executive lounge area, and a bar and restaurant serving modern British cuisine as well as a range of classic dishes.

Guestrooms at the hotel are non-smoking, as is the whole building, and are spacious and air-conditioned, featuring plasma-screen televisions, internet access, laptop safes and coffee and tea making facilities. Rooms are decorated with modern furniture and are bright and clean.

Swissotel London The Howard –

A 5-star hotel located on the River Thames with views overlooking the Houses of Parliament and St Paul’s Cathedral, Swissotel London the Howard oozes luxury and indulgence, and features a restaurant serving modern British food and a cosmopolitan foyer lounge bar with glass sculptures and mauve sofas. Tempo Bar opens onto a quiet courtyard that houses pretty waterfalls and a pond. Guests also have complimentary use of the off-site health spa. It is nearby to London’s Theatreland and is just across the river from South Bank and the National Theatre.

Guestrooms at the hotel offer beautiful river, courtyard or garden views, and are decorated elegantly in earthy tones and wooden floored entrances. Amenities in the rooms include free internet and Lavazza Espresso coffee machines, and bathrooms have marble flooring and contain luxury bath products.
